SAP Harnesses the Power of AI to Elevate the Employee Experience

SAP, a global leader in business software, has unveiled its commitment to utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the workforce’s potential. The announcement was made at the annual SuccessConnect event held at the Venetian Convention Center in Las Vegas. SAP has integrated AI throughout its SAP SuccessFactors Human Experience Management Suite, enabling it to improve the employee experience and provide valuable insights for every human resources decision, from talent acquisition to learning and performance management.

This AI-focused approach signifies SAP’s broader strategy to build an enterprise AI ecosystem, offering innovative solutions to its customers. The AI capabilities are integrated into SAP SuccessFactors solutions, which are part of SAP’s extensive portfolio of business applications. Over 26,000 organizations that use cloud solutions from SAP now have access to SAP Business AI technology across various applications and partner solutions, ensuring they stay relevant and responsive in an ever-changing world.

Aaron Green, Chief Marketing & Solutions Officer at SAP SuccessFactors solutions, emphasized the significance of AI in these solutions: “The AI capabilities within SAP SuccessFactors solutions will enable organizations to put people and their experiences first. The collective power of our AI capabilities will help unlock new possibilities for people and for organizations by tapping into new levels of potential, performance, and operational efficiency.”

SAP introduced several AI capabilities during the SuccessConnect event, which are set to be generally available starting this month:

Generative AI Use Cases: These features are designed to assist HR professionals and recruiters in crafting job descriptions and help employees receive personalized learning recommendations to advance their careers.

Joule – SAP’s Natural-Language, Generative AI Copilot: Joule enhances the employee experience within SAP SuccessFactors solutions by simplifying access to information and expediting HR-related tasks. Future functionalities, such as clocking in and out, viewing pay statements, and creating unbiased job descriptions, will become available in early 2024.

Talent Intelligence Hub: Embedded in SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite, this AI-powered engine generates skills portfolios for each employee, which can be inferred from performance feedback and team dynamics. The talent intelligence hub enables organizations to manage various aspects of human resources, from recruitment and onboarding to learning and development, and more.

Josh Bersin, a global HR industry analyst at The Josh Bersin Company, commended SAP’s efforts, stating, “SAP continues to be a leader in the HR tech market. Leveraging SAP’s worldwide footprint and industry depth, the company’s next-generation AI offerings help organizations hire, develop, and upskill employees at scale.”

Through AI-driven solutions for HR, SAP aims to empower organizations to develop a future-ready workforce capable of adapting to new opportunities with agility, creativity, and purpose. SuccessConnect brings together business, IT, and HR leaders to discuss effective strategies for nurturing a workforce that is well-prepared for the future, and using intelligent technology, including AI, to unlock the potential within every employee.
