Samsung Electronics unveiled an upgraded version of its AI home companion robot, Ballie, during a press conference at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas on January 8 (local time), leading up to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024. Originally introduced at CES 2020, the revamped Ballie showcases advanced features aimed at intelligently assisting users in navigating their daily lives.
Functioning as a personal home assistant, Ballie autonomously moves around the home to perform various tasks. By seamlessly connecting to and managing home appliances, it becomes a helpful companion, continually learning from users’ behaviors and routines to offer more intelligent and personalized services. Offering peace of mind, Ballie can send video updates of pets or loved ones to users’ devices when they are away from home. Additionally, it can enhance the atmosphere for various activities, such as projecting workout videos on walls or floors, playing music, and handling phone calls, making home life more efficient and enjoyable.
