In a blog Microsoft says, “the AI key is designed to provide users seamless access to Copilot, Microsoft’s advanced AI tool, and will be featured on upcoming Windows 11 PCs.”
Microsoft’s substantial investment in OpenAI, the driving force behind Copilot’s robust AI capabilities, underscores the tech giant’s commitment to incorporating AI across various products. The integration of AI has been witnessed in Microsoft 365 and Bing search throughout 2023, showcasing the company’s dedication to leveraging cutting-edge technology.
The newly introduced Copilot AI key is poised to enhance user experience by facilitating quick and efficient access to Copilot’s array of functions. Copilot, known for aiding users in tasks such as searching, composing emails, and creating images, has already made significant strides in boosting productivity.
Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft’s executive vice president, described this development as a “transformative” moment akin to the introduction of the Windows key nearly 30 years ago.
