Microsoft has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative, AI Odyssey, designed to upskill 100,000 developers in India, equipping them with the latest AI technologies and tools. In a blog post, Microsoft said that the program aims to provide a comprehensive learning experience, enabling developers to acquire and demonstrate essential skills for executing critical projects aligned with business goals.

In a world where AI is transforming the way we work and live, there is a growing need for a skilled workforce in India capable of leveraging AI to solve complex problems and create value. Microsoft’s AI Odyssey program, among other initiatives, offers developers opportunities to build solutions for India’s growth and demonstrate their talents in solving real-world challenges.

To participate in the AI Odyssey, developers can register on aka.ms/AIOdyssey, gaining access to learning modules and resources. This month-long program is open to all AI enthusiasts in India, regardless of their experience level or background. Participants are required to complete two levels of challenges by January 31, 2024.

The first level of the program focuses on educating participants on using Azure AI services to create and deploy AI solutions for various scenarios. It provides access to valuable resources, code samples, and guides to help developers master practical AI skills.

The second level challenges participants to prove their AI proficiency through an online assessment featuring interactive lab tasks. Successful completion of these challenges earns participants the Microsoft Applied Skills credentials, a verifiable endorsement of their ability to tackle real-world problems with AI.

Those completing both levels of challenges also stand a chance to win a VIP Pass for the Microsoft AI Tour in Bangalore on February 8, 2024. The AI Tour is a unique event showcasing the revolutionary impact of generative AI, highlighting its ability to enable new forms of creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.

The AI Tour features keynote sessions, demos, and workshops, providing developers with opportunities to learn from Microsoft experts and partners, as well as network with peers. Irina Ghose, Managing Director of Microsoft India, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “AI is the future of innovation, and India is leading the way with its tech talent. The Microsoft Applied Skills credential will help developers demonstrate their competence and creativity in the most in-demand AI skills and scenarios. We welcome all developers to join us in creating meaningful AI solutions that will contribute to India’s economy.”
